This is due to factor of origin of industrial revolution. When the economy of the United States of America gradually transformed to service economy, operation techniques started to be included into service. From then the term "Operation Management" came into the use. The term Operation management can be explained as the area of management relating to designing, operating and improving the system of production which produces firm's products along with the services. Apart from finance and marketing, operational management is one among the three important functions of an organization. The main aim of this study is to find out how important is operational management in McDonalds and how McDonalds used it to enhance their quality service and gained competitive advantage over others. The mixed methodology of research is used in this study.
